I&M Foundation Supports Maa Trust Program

I&M Foundation is supporting the Maa Trust program that engages 579 Maasai women in an environmentally sustainable livelihood project through the Maa Beadwork social enterprise. The goal of this program is to ensure all the bead work artisans gain financial independence and are highly skilled to meet the required standards of international customers.Recently , I&M Foundation team conducted a M&E visit to the Maa Trust program and interacted with the maa beading women on the ground. Several women attested on how the program has empowered them to earn a source of livelihood thus placing them in a better position to supplement their household incomes. This empowerment will go a long way in helping them lift their families from poverty, provide basic needs and educate girls for enhanced participation in their communities’ development.#IMFoundation#IMcares
