16. Foreign currency

a) The Cardholder must be fully familiar and comply with all the applicable exchange control regulations when the Card is used outside the money area of the Republic of Uganda.

b) Card transactions made in foreign currencies, will be shown on the statement in Uganda Shillings and is payable in Uganda currency converted at the exchange rate charged to the bank on conversion by Visa plus a percentage on the converted amount of the value of the foreign transaction and which percentage can vary from time to time. This rate may not be the rate in effect on the date of the transaction.
