MTN MoMo

I&M Bank Rwanda - MoMo Money Transfer

Transfer money from your I&M bank account to a registered MoMo Money Transfer user in Rwanda using our Internet Banking & I&M Mobile Banking

Through this service, funds can be remitted online from your I&M Bank account instantaneously to any person in Rwanda who is registered for MoMo Money Transfer.

  • If already registered on I-Click, use the following simple steps to transfer money from your bank account to an MTN mobile money user

  • Login to I-Click

  • Click on main menu (on the top left corner of your screen)

  • If you are transferring RW.250,000 and below

  • Click on payments

  • Click on mobile money

  • Click on mobile money adhoc payment

  • Under make a payment from, pay from account, select the account to pay from.

  • Under Make a Payment To

  • Ad hoc Payee Full Names –put the names of the person you are transferring to

  • Ad hoc Payee Nick Name – repeat the names of the person you are transferring to or put a unique

  • Mobile Number (250XXXXXXXXX) -- put the mobile number to pay to

  • Confirm Mobile Number—repeat the number

  • Aggregator Id – select MTN mobile money

  • Add to Personal Payee List – tick the box if you want to save the person in the system for future payments

  • Amount*RWF –put the amount in RWF

  • Set Payment Date & Frequency- Frequency Type- select One Time or recurring for standing orders

  • Other Details – Narration – put the reason of transfer

  • Click on Continue

  • Put the one-time password sent to your phone and email and click submit

  • You will get a message displayed on your screen with the status of the payment.

  • If you are transferring amount above RW.250,000 to Rw.1M

  • First manage beneficiary

  • Login to I-Click

  • Click on main menu (on the top left corner of your screen)

  • Click on Manage Beneficiary

  • Mobile Money Beneficiary

  • Beneficiary Details – Name -put the name of the beneficiary

  • Nickname – Repeat the name of the beneficiary or a nick name

  • Account Details - Mobile Number –put Mobile Number in this format 250XXXXXXXXX)

  • Confirm Mobile Number-- Mobile Number in same format 250XXXXXXXXX)

  • Provider – select MTN mobile money

  • Continue

  • Confirmation details –Transaction Password – put the transaction you already have

  • One Time Password- put the One Time Password sent to your phone and email

  • Submit

  • You will get a message displayed on your screen with the status of managing the beneficiary.

  • Then go back to main menu

  • Click on payment

  • Click on payments

  • Click on mobile money

  • Click on mobile money payment

  • Make a payment from- pay from account – select the account

  • Make a Payment to -- Service Provider-select MTN mobile money

  • Beneficiary Nick Name- select the person you want to pay to

  • Amount- put the amount upto 1M

  • Set Payment Date & Frequency- Frequency Type -- select One Time or recurring for standing orders

  • Other Details – Narration – put the reason of transfer

  • Click on Continue

  • Put the one-time password sent to your phone and email and click submit

  • You will get a message displayed on your screen with the status of the payment.

  • If already registered on our USSD/MOBILE BANKING, use the following simple steps to transfer money from your bank account to an MTN mobile money user

  • The amount is upto 250,000Rw only

  • Press *227#

  • Put in your 6digits pin

  • Select mobile money on No.9

  • Select 1-MTN

  • Select your account number to pay from

  • Select 1- my number/ 2-other number

  • Press 1-proccess

  • PUT THE AMOUNT

  • Press one to proceed

  • Put in the transaction password

  • You will get an SMS of the status displayed on your screen with the status of the payment.
